The Prime Minister of Mauritius to open ACI World and Africa's annual conference

Airports Council International (ACI) World has announced that the 27th ACI Africa/World Annual General Assembly Conference & Exhibition, taking place from 16–18 October 2017 in Port Louis, Mauritius, will be opened by the Prime Minister of Mauritius, the Hon Pravind Kumar Jugnauth.

Under the theme "Bold leadership in a time of change," the Honorable Jugnauth will address an expected 400 international delegates from the aviation industry. 

"Mauritius is pleased to welcome the partners and stakeholders of the global airport and aviation sector," said Jugnauth. "The 27th ACI Africa/World Annual General Assembly Conference & Exhibition coincides perfectly with the 50th Anniversary of Air Mauritius, our flag carrier airline. This conference is therefore a unique milestone and opportunity for our country to proudly showcase the progress we have achieved in aviation. We have benefitted tremendously from international cooperation and we are today in a position to extend support to our peers. I am confident that this conference will also be a privileged moment for sharing and learning from each other's experience."

Jugnauth will be joined at the Opening Ceremony by Angela Gittens, Director General, ACI World; Declan Collier, Chair, ACI World; Ali Tounsi, Secretary General, ACI Africa; Engineer Saleh Dunoma, President, ACI Africa; and, Johnny Dumazel, Chairman AML & ATOL. The Keynote address will be given by Dr. Olumuyiwa Benard Aliu, President of the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

The conference's session topics will include: Creating a strong security culture; Airport CEOs' views on the digital transformation; how ACI's World Business Partners are innovating for airports; and, a panel of Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Award winners in a session titled "The road to success: learning from the world's best airports in customer experience."
