As Emirates and Qatar Airways stem the flow of cash from their airlines with government support, we look at how the latest financial injection will help the Gulf megacarriers get back to full speed as the travel market resumes.

In South Africa Alan Peaford and Sam Basch put the spotlight on defence, including an update on Paramount’s investment in the training market offering new opportunities for developing African youth into the world of technical aviation and engineering. We also find out about changes at the top for the South African Airforce.

In Turkey, the country’s major defence manufacturer, Turkish Aerospace, unveils plans for the region’s largest test centre which will be at the heart of the development of Turkey’s proposed next generation fighter jet.

From India, Jay Menon  explains how the Indian government is moving to allow a new drone delivery service to go beyond line-of-sight operations, as part of a post-Covid technology jump.
