September’s Defence Monthly has Jon Lake and Alan Peaford at the world’s largest international defence event – DSEI – in London’s Docklands; with Jay Menon reporting from New Delhi.

Although protestors ringed the London show, military leaders praised the event and Jon Lake talked to Major General Roddy Porter about the importance of the event to the industry and particularly about the long-time defence ties between the Middle East and UK.

Jay Menon looks at the potential benefits of the latest Airbus order for transporters by India. It may have taken 10 years for the deal to have gone through, but for India and its “Made in India” plans it could be well worth the wait.

We hear from the CEO of next year’s World Defense Show in Saudi Arabia, Shaun Ormrod. Shaun outlines the latest developments for the event which takes place between 6-9th March 2022.

Alan Peaford reports on other developments in Saudi Arabia with a new defence organisation to boost research and development and looks at the latest unmanned system in the Kingdom to go into production.

Qatar, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia could see new Leonardo radar upgrades for their Eurofighter Typhoons while a Middle Eastern sovereign fund has invested in the potential replacement for the Hawk, Aeralis with support for further development in the flexible platform.
