Egypt’s flag carrier has celebrated the inaugural flight to Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD)connecting between Cairo and Washington aboard the newest aircraft of its fleet B787-900 Dreamliner.

”We are extremely delighted to launch a non-stop service between Washington, D.C., and Cairo.  We are equally excited about deploying our newest state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on this important route; the spacious cabin interior allows our customers to move with ease and gives them a greater feeling of comfort. We look forward to welcoming guests onboard as they travel to Cairo and beyond across our global network,” said Mohamed Elian, EgyptAir Airlines vice chairman.

"This is a long sought after the flight. It is also welcomed by our passengers all over the world, who wish to visit the US Capital via a non-stop flight. It fulfills part of our network expansion strategy, especially in North America, as we already serve daily to New York City.”
