This latest development follows recent expansions into Asia and North America, and the acquisition of Dubai-based aviation consultancy, Aerotask, with the new office being headed up by regional VP – Africa, Daniel Huggins.

CEO Phil Mathews said: “I am delighted to announce the launch of our new regional office in Africa, extending our global presence across four continents and rounding off this current phase of strategic geographic expansion.

“Africa’s fifth fastest-growing city, Addis Ababa has overtaken Dubai as the region’s number one connecting hub and offers direct access to every major Sub-Saharan city.

“I have no doubt that our presence here will help to further develop our foothold within the regional ACMI leasing market and better support the exceptional strides that Daniel and his team have already made with clients and suppliers in this part of the world.”

On the new development, Daniel comments: “There are a lot of opportunities for the Group within the Africa region, as evidenced by our strategic partnership with Ethiopian Airlines.

“The new office will provide a base from which we can more effectively meet the needs of current and prospective customers, explore collaborations with new suppliers and strengthen existing ones.

“I look forward to building on the relationships we have developed within the region and helping ACC to further enhance its global presence and international reputation as one of the world’s leading aviation service providers.”
