TAAG Angola Airlines looks at disposing widebody aircraft
TAAG Angola's strategic partner Emirates is planning to dispose of some of the carrier's widebody capacity.
The plan is to help mitigate the effects of lack of demand for travel to Angola.
Emirates is looking to place at least one of the carrier’s B777-300(ER)s with operators in Asia.
TAAG Angola airlines has imposed restrictions on locals’ ability to purchase tickets, with tickets only being sold in US dollars and Euros, as opposed to Kwanzas.
This is due to the carrier struggling to cover foreign operating costs, which are paid in dollars or Euros.
