The goodwill ferry flight which landed last night in Johannesburg, South Africa, was coordinated with the Airbus Corporate Foundation, Aviation Sans Frontières, the Foundation’s regular partner for flights from Toulouse and World Vision South Africa, an NGO specialising in sponsoring children in need from around the world.

The cargo includes new clothes for children between 0 and 6 years old and Office Depot school stationery supplies, consisting of paper, pads and pens. The goods will be distributed to hospitals, clinics and schools, including the J.S. Mpanza Primary School in Soweto.

”The Airbus Corporate Foundation regularly coordinates with airlines and aid organisations to deliver essential humanitarian goods and equipment to some of the world’s most needy places,” said Andrea Debanne, executive director of the Airbus Corporate Foundation. ”Together with our aid partners and airlines, our aim is to support children in distress all over the world. We wish to thank our partners SAA, Aviation Sans Frontières and World Vision South Africa, for their tremendous work to help children in need in South Africa.”
