Ethiopian Airlines named "African airline of the year"
Ethiopian Airlines has been named the 'African airline of the year', after winning the African Aviation award.
The award was given at the African Aviation Air Finance Africa Conference and Exhibition, and African Aviation Summit held in Johannesburg.
Ethiopian was rewarded for its financial performance, fleet modernisation, route network expansion, in-flight service, overall customer care and its contribution to African aviation development.
“We are pleased to win the award, which is a testimony of Ethiopian’s 70 years of commitment to bring Africa together and closer to the rest of the world,” said Mesfin Tassew, chief operating officer, Ethiopian Airlines.
“Ethiopian Airlines continues to set the pace through its tangible achievements and is a source of great pride to Africa,” said Nick Fadugba, CEO, African Aviation.
