The aircraft was seized last month pending the settlement of a USD11.5 million claim against the Congolese government.

Minister of Justice for the Democratic Republic of Congo Alexis Thambwe told local television last week: "The Irish judge, this afternoon ruled in our favour: the plane is to be released tomorrow. It may not [happen] tomorrow, since we must call on our technicians to repair it. But in the coming days, the aircraft will be in Congo."

With the arrival of the aircraft in Congo, the Congolese national carrier will be able to resume its normal scheduled flights.
