Aviation Iran to take place in Dubai in March 2016

This conference and exhibition will explore what this unprecedented boom for the region could mean.   The exhibition will offer networking opportunities for those companies looking to capitalise on this new market. 

The UAE as a regional business, trade and financial hub will significantly gain from Iran’s opening.  Holding the first Aviation Iran in Dubai will further develop the trade between these two countries, where Dubai has grown their GDP largely from aviation, Iran will gain from knowledge, expertise and potential partnerships. 

The aviation sector is ripe for regeneration. It has more than 15 commercial and cargo airlines and more than 300 airports serving both domestic and international destinations. 

During the period of sanctions the country has witnessed a number of air disasters that have plagued the aviation sector but these have been directly attributable to dilapidated fleets. 

The lifting of sanctions will rejuvenate the aviation industry and provide a number of economic and social incentives. It is expected to lead to the creation of much-needed jobs for the local population; the re-appropriation of passenger volumes lost to regional and European carriers; and a boost to the domestic and international tourism sectors that would in turn create opportunities in the Iranian hospitality sector. 

It could also lead to new market prospects for makers of airport facilities equipment. Upgrades to air traffic control systems would help to improve efficiency, reduce congestion, and lower the risk of accidents in Iranian airspace, while new security systems would help mitigate threats to international civil aviation. 

The Iranian government recognises the importance of its aviation sector and has said that when sanctions are lifted it would support the purchase of at least 400 new aircraft . Airbus and Boeing are reportedly already discussing potential sales with Iranian authorities.
