Air Austral retires B777-200(LR)
Air Austral has ended its B777-200(LR) operations following the retirement of its sole aircraft of the type, ch-aviation has reported.
The carrier acquired the aircraft to operate non-stop Dzaoudzi-Paris CDG flights but proved unsuitable.
The retired aircraft will be replaced with a B787-8 in May of next year, with a wet-leased B737-300 joining the fleet as an interim measure.
